SALT LAKE CITY – Vivint CEO Todd Pedersen will appear on the season finale of “Undercover Boss,” an award-winning series on CBS, to observe how his employees function on a day-to-day basis.
Now in its sixth season, the two-time Emmy Award winning “Undercover Boss” follows high-level executives as they slip anonymously into the rank-and-file of their own organizations. Each week, a different leader goes on an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of their operation.

During the episode, Pedersen will pose as a video storeowner from Bend, Oregon. Under the guise, Pedersen worked with across several areas of the business, including the company’s 24/7 monitoring station, wireless Internet division, field services department and a Vivint Solar warehouse.
Pederson believes the experiment yielded positive results.

“Going undercover was such an incredible experience that I actually didn’t want it to end,” he says. “Working alongside my employees gave me the opportunity to see first-hand why Vivint is such a successful company. We have grown exponentially in the past 14 years, and I want to make sure our employees understand how critical they are to our business.”
