SAN MATEO, Calif. — Danaher Corp., a science and technology company that designs and manufactures products to the commercial, industrial and medical markets, has acquired network intelligence optimization company VSS Monitoring. Terms of the deal were not released.
VSS offers a scalable solution that can overlay an entire network infrastructure to deliver virtualized connectivity between any network node and any tool, according to a press release. It will join the communications businesses in Danaher’s Test and Measurement segment as a standalone company. Expected to close in mid-June, the deal will help Danaher expand its product offerings, according to Jim Lico, executive vice president, Danaher.
“VSS will broaden our ability to provide leading technologies to our service provider and enterprise customers to optimize the way data is extracted from high-speed 40G/100G communications networks,” he says. “As part of our platform, VSS will gain access to our technology, resources and global footprint.”
