Technology in the security industry is changing quickly. In this blog we will explore and exchange information and ideas on the many new and old technical challenges of our industry.
Looking back to my early years n the industry, I can remember when the first digital dialers and PIRs were being installed. I often referred to those day as the “Wild West of Security”- they were fun times.
Today, security is being connected through many types of networks. POTS phone circuits are being phased out and things like mobile video are very hot. These times are both exciting and challenging. The customer expects the latest technology and you have to provide or perish.
