Westronic Systems Inc. has partnered with Johnson Controls in a technology and marketing partnership to address the emerging telecom hotel and Internet data center markets. As part of the agreement, Westronic Systems will join the Johnson Controls Metasys(r) Compatible Product Program.

The Metasys building automation system uses technology that provides information to help customers manage buildings more efficiently. The Westronic products, with the Metasys integration, will allow for a unified management platform for all aspects of the co-location space, including HVAC, DC power, security, housekeeping alarms and network elements.

“We believe that, in today’s energy and cost-conscious environment, our ability to help Johnson Controls better integrate alarm and fault management will add a valuable component to their total solution to both telecom property developers and service providers,” says Steve Hudson, vice president of sales and marketing for Westronic Systems. “The technology Westronic Systems brings to the table will help us work with our customers to further increase the reliability and availability of their telecommunications facilities, while driving down operating and maintenance costs,” adds Kevin Pasqua, vice president of telecommunications business segment for Johnson Controls.

Westronic Systems is a provider of alarm and telemetry solutions for the telecommunications industry. Johnson Controls is a provider of automotive systems and facility management and control.
