What Is Leveraged Untethered Technology?

Published: April 24, 2013

In a tweet last week, I created a new acronym for us to ponder, LUT for Leveraged Untethered Technology. That’s’ right; you heard it here first at SSI and the Value-Added Security blog.

What I saw at ISC West were new applications that leverage existing infrastructure technologies and truly a “many to many” application ergo untethered. These applications leverage the growth of adoption of smart mobile devices from many and can share the data of many with many, like first responders to criminal incidents. By using the big technology dogs like Google, Apple and Droid to fund and develop the “infrastructure” can you imagine the possibilities the future hold for all of us?
