Will Electronics Hosts First Security Conference & Technology Expo

ST. LOUIS

More than 125 security professional attended the inaugural Security Conference & Technology Expo, hosted by St. Louis-based integrator Will Electronics, which featured a panel discussion on workplace violence, product displays and other related activities.

During the event, held May 4 at Lumiere Place in St. Louis, Tom Griffin, president of Griffin Personnel Group, and John Hessel, a member of the law firm Lewis Rice Fingersh, presented “Workplace Violence Prevention: A Legal and Security Perspective.” The discussion focused on preventive measures that can help companies avoid legal issues associated with workplace violence and strategies to mitigate problems before they escalate into full-blown crises.

Attendees also learned ways to safeguard information technology resources from internal and external threats from Chris Wyrick, a project manager with AT&T. His presentation, “IT Network Security,” touched on the physical and logistical security measures necessary to protect sensitive data and information from outside threats as well as from corrupt or recently terminated employees.

“We’re proud of the success we had in staging our first Security Conference and Technology Expo,” says Will Electronics President Kurt Will. “Bringing so many industry professionals together in one location is the ideal way to promote sound security principles to the businesses in our region.”
