Will Electronics to Host Citywide Surveillance Expo
ST. LOUIS — In response to last month’s Boston Marathon bombings, Will Electronics will host the Citywide Surveillance Expo to discuss the role public surveillance plays in identifying and apprehending perpetrators.
The event will take place on May 21 at Lumiére Place Hotel & Casino in downtown St. Louis from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson will serve as the keynote speaker at the expo and offer insights into how citywide surveillance programs can aid law enforcement efforts.
“We’re extremely pleased and excited to feature Chief Dotson at this year’s expo,” Will Electronics President Kurt Will says. “Citywide video surveillance programs are vital to the deterrence, detection and forensic confirmation of crime. In fact, we have an existing platform here in St. Louis that has been instrumental in achieving these very goals. We look forward to exploring the effectiveness of this system with attendees to this year’s expo.”
A panel discussion will help attendees see the benefits and strategies of successful citywide surveillance programs. Additionally, a representative from Genetec will also share thoughts on public surveillance.
