Tony Wilson has been named president of the recently combined wholesale monitoring operations of CMS and Criticom Int’l, which will soon operate under a new name, Criticom Monitoring Services.
In a transaction announced by parent company Protection One on April 2, Criticom Int’l, the nation’s largest provider of wholesale monitoring, and CMS, also a provider of wholesale alarm monitoring, are merging operations.
“Combining the operations and geographical footprint of our companies broadens the reach of both entities for serving even more dealers and their growing businesses,” Wilson says. “In addition, the combined company will have an unmatched network of monitoring centers, which will ultimately be connected and provide important redundancies for subscribers.”
Wilson adds that Criticom Monitoring Services has an opportunity to set new standards in the industry and to create new programs and alliances that benefit all of its independent dealers.
Wilson most recently served as president of CMS, which is located in Longwood, Fla., where the headquarters for the combined company also will be based. He has more than 22 years’ experience in the wholesale monitoring business, holding various positions in monitoring center management and being named president of CMS in 1991.
