Published: February 28, 2007

Honeywell of Louisville, Ky., announces the release of its LYNXR-I self-contained wireless control, the latest addition to the LYNX quick-install family. Designed for future expandability, it enables dealers to address the emergence of voice over
Internet protocol (VoIP) migration to cell phones and the growth of digital radio networks.

LYNXR-I supports the Honeywell family of communicators, as well as alarm reporting and downloading using IP and long-range radio. This device works with ordinary telephone lines for dealers utilizing the traditional method or those who may decide to employ alternate technology in the future. Its feature set also includes built-in two-way voice, a built-in message center, reminders, “Follow Me” and scheduling.
