Yale Code Smart Lock Delivers Simplicity to Smart Home Market

The company explains that its new lock operates without a smartphone app, and the company stresses the Code smart lock is a non-connected keypad lock. All functions, such as adding and removing entry codes, setting up Auto-Lock, and adjusting sound settings, occur directly on the lock and can be completed within seconds. The simplicity of the Yale Code smart lock the company asserts, makes it complementary for those who want key-free home access but do not want a smart lock or prefer an app-free solution. The company points out the Code smart lock can be used for side or interior doors in homes or vacation rentals, offering additional secure entry at a low price point.

Additionally, the Code is battery-operated, which Yale says eliminates the need for wiring or wall outlets. Once installed the company continues, users can create up to 20 custom entry codes directly on the lock. These codes allow for easy access sharing with family, friends, trusted visitors and renters.

Other elements the new Code smart lock offers homeowners include are a sleek, minimalist design and slim profile inspired by the Yale Assure Lock 2 collection’s “less is more” approach to complement any home aesthetic.

Moreover, the smart home lock’s backlit push-button keypad is fade and scratch-resistant, ensuring easy visibility and durability at any time of day, and the company emphasizes the new Yale Code smart lock is available in a choice of black suede and satin nickel finishes.
