NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Yale Home has released a new Z-Wave Plus smart module for its Yale Assure Lock line of smart locks.
Originally launched with 300 Series (then followed by 500 series in 2018) technology, the new line now features Z-Wave 700 Series chip technology.
The upgrade is said to enable 20% stronger battery life, a 46% expansion of connectivity range, S2 framework for increased security benefits and improved ease of enrollment during product set-up via SmartStart.
“Yale is committed to providing smart locks with the latest and greatest connectivity standards to power the most secure and convenient access experience,” says Garret Lovejoy, director of product management for ASSA ABLOY. “We’re proud to offer the most up-to-date technology for optimal performance and seamless integrations for our Z-Wave customers, providing the most modern and reliable tools to continue smart access growth in homes around the world.”
Yale Assure Locks outfit any exterior door with smart access through a keypad code, The Yale Access app, or by integrating with a compatible security system’s platform. Yale says the new Smart Module paired with the Assure lock platform will provide exemplary integration with popular Z-Wave smart home and alarm systems.
The Yale Assure family of locks comes in four finishes designed to match conventional door hardware: satin nickel, black suede, lifetime brass and oil rubbed bronze. The lock and module bundles are available for purchase today at security wholesale centers, including ADI, Anixter, and other regional wholesalers.
