Zebra Printer Selected to Print 60,000 Smart Cards for National University of Singapore

SINGAPORE
Published: October 13, 2004

Realizing the growth of its student population, National
University of Singapore (NUS) decided on a cost-effective
and reliable way to keep track of students and their use of
campus resources. The university purchased Zebra
P320i card printers from Digital Scanning
Corporation of Singapore in order to print 60,000 smart
cards for staff and students.

The cards will also be a way to secure campus resources from theft and misuse.

The high-quality cards will allow students to access, check out and reserve computers, books and equipment. The smart card allows the university to track and monitor each transaction. NUS will be able to better gauge student needs and make informed purchasing decisions.
