Zebra Technologies Extends Tender Offer for Outstanding Shares of Fargo Common Stock

VERNON HILLS, Ill, and EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.

Thermal bar code label maker and Eltron(R)-brand plastic card distributor Zebra Technologies Corp. and desktop card provider Fargo Electronics Inc. is extending Zebra Technology’s tender offer for all outstanding shares in cash from Jan. 9 to Jan. 24. According to the company, the extension is necessary because an applicable antitrust review waiting period has yet to expire or be terminated.

As of noon EST, Jan. 9, approximately 9,953,000 shares of Fargo common stock had been tendered. These shares represent about 85 percent of total shares outstanding.

Zebra intends to extend the offer at least until the Hart-Scott-Rodino antitrust review waiting period expires or is terminated, subject to the provisions of the acquisition agreement.
