G4S Appoints Chief HR Officer for North America and Technology Region

Geoff Gerks will supervise human resources, learning and development, and health and safety for all G4S businesses in North America.

G4S has appointed Geoff Gerks as chief human resources officer for G4S North America and Technology Region. Gerks joined G4S in 2013 as senior vice president, human resources, for Secure Solutions.

In his new role, Gerks oversees human resources, learning and development, and health and safety for all G4S businesses in North America. Gerks is based in Jupiter, Fla., and reports directly to John Kenning, G4S regional CEO for North America and technology.

“Whether our employees are installing state-of-the-art security management systems, delivering strategic risk consulting or patrolling at a local business, they are the key to delivering a great customer experience,” Kenning says. “Geoff Gerks works with his teams to ensure that G4S excels in recruiting, training and developing our employees, ensuring that we continue to deliver the finest combination of security personnel, project management, risk management, and technology solutions to our customers.”

Under Gerks’ leadership, G4S has won awards for best practices in people management, leadership excellence, and training and development. Prior to joining G4S, Gerks spent several years with Brinks as the senior vice president for HR in the U.S. business. His earlier career included periods with C.R. Bard, a global medical device company, and Coca-Cola enterprises, where he progressed through various HR roles.
