Top 9 Surveillance Videos of the Week: Man Gets Wallet Stolen, Good Samaritan Finds and Returns it
An unfortunate situation for an elderly man from Florida turned into a blessing in disguise thanks to a stranger.
It’s not very often when having your wallet stolen plays to your advantage, but that’s exactly what happened to this central Florida man.
Jimmy Lear, 76, was seen on video surveillance dropping his wallet while shopping in a store. Immediately after, an unidentified man walks by and picks up the wallet and makes charges on the man’s card before dropping the wallet in the dumpster.
Fortunately for Lear, 63-year-old Richard Ochoa was rummaging through the dumpster to find “anything useful” for the homeless and stumbled upon Lear’s wallet. When he opened it up, he found six $100 bills inside. When Ochoa returned it to its rightful owner, he discovered Lear had no idea the money was inside.
