4-Channel Video Receivers Transmit Over Hardened UTP Cable

The VTPR4100 Series of four-channel video receivers by Newtown, Conn.-based International Fiber Systems (IFS), a GE Infrastructure, Security company, facilitates the transmission of video over environmentally hardened, unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cable that IFS calls its Copperline products.

The VTPR4100 detects four independent UTP video signals in one module on four independent Cat-5 cables. The module is suitable for small CCTV installations where it can be used to multiply video capacity of the IFS R3 rack, which is capable of supporting up to 56 individual video channels.
