Access Platform Accommodates Enterprise-Level Applications

The PW-6000 intelligent controller by Honeywell of Louisville, Ky., uses advanced hardware architecture capable of performing access control in large enterprise applications. The system is designed to operate without the need for a central PC, making access control assessments independently of a central host or other controlling device.
The PW-6000 can also be connected to a host PC using direct serial communications, dial-up modems and TCP/IP network connections for system configuration, alarm monitoring and direct control.  Enhancements include faster processing and better performance, although the functionality of the system remains the same as the older version. The new system comes with 32MB of RAM and 16MB of flash memory.
