Axis Communication to Highlight Panoramic Cameras at ISC East 2024

CHELMSFORD, Mass.—As part of its commitment to foster a smarter, safe world, Axis Communications through the use of advanced surveillance technologies, will preview its latest panoramic cameras at ISC East 2024.
Among its latest product offerings are two new AI-powered panoramic cameras, the AXIS P3747-PLVE and AXIS P3748-PLVE, which provide expansive coverage for outdoor areas, as well as the capacity to deliver clear imagery in all lighting conditions. Both devices offer remote pan, tilt, roll, zoom (PRTZ) capabilities and can be mounted on ceilings for complete 360-degree coverage, or mounted on corners for 270-degrees of coverage. The cameras are also equipped with a deep learning processing unit (DPLU) to help customers utilize powerful analytics on the edge to enable intelligent capabilities such as properly identifying, classifying, tracking, and counting humans and vehicles.
A Closer Look at the New Panoramic Cameras on Display at ISC East 2024
AXIS P3747-PLVE & AXIS P3748-PLVE Panoramic Cameras: Axis Communications explains that while the AXIS PS3747-PLVE offers 4 5 MP at 20 fps per channel, and the AXIS P3748-PLVE offers 4*8 MP at 12.5/15 fps per channel, both cameras share several key characteristics. Both products provide customers with the ability to capture clear images over significant distances. The cameras also offer 360-degree infrared (IR) illumination with individually controllable LEDs and a removable IR cut filter, which assists in providing clear images in wide-ranging lighting conditions, including full daylight, low light, and darkness.
Both panoramic cameras devices also include a DPLU, making it possible to run powerful analytics on the edge to enable advanced actions such as accurate human and vehicle detection. Axis Communications asserts these features help to provide efficient forensic search capabilities in live or recorded video, ensuring organizations are equipped with the surveillance evidence they need to expedite investigations and prevent false claims.
Additionally, Axis Communications notes that each camera sensor is capable of running analytics simultaneously, thereby expanding performance and potential use cases. What’s more the company boasts, the new AXIS P3747-PLVE and P3748-PLVE cameras are designed to be smaller, lighter and consume less power than other PTRZs on the market.
Axis will preview the new panoramic cameras—along with its other industry-leading video, analytics, audio, intercom, and end-to-end solutions—at ISC East 2024, booth #707. The AXIS P3747-PLVE and P3748-PLVE Panoramic Cameras will be available Q1.
