BCD Announces First All-in-One Network Video Recorder
The All-in-One Network Video Recorder line of products from BCD offers a choice of models to help dealers meet a range of application scenarios.
BUFFALO GROVE, Ill.—BCD, a manufacturer of purpose-built video appliances, has announced the release of its first-ever original design and manufactured device: the 1U All-in-One Network Video Recorder.
The latest product from the Midwestern company is capable of providing up to 80TB of raw storage, available with either an eight or 24-port PoE+ to PoE switch. The eight-port system is powered with an Intel Core i5-7500 processor, with a Passmark rating of 6059, and the 24-port unit is driven by an Intel Core i7-7700, with an 8653 Passmark rating.
The All-in-One (AIO) Network Video Recorder is a surveillance appliance that comes standard with a scalable managed switch with PoE+ to PoE (Power over Ethernet) support, PoE Management software and TMP 2.0 functionality, and Web management UI for Switch configuration, PoE settings, etc.
All systems include four drive bays that support RAID 0/1/5/10, and BCD’s Harmonize Bridge, powered by Tiger Technology, which is said to deliver hybrid Cloud capabilities, as well as disaster recovery. All systems come standard with a two-year advanced exchange warranty, and a five-year Keep Your Hard Drive (KYHD) replacement warranty.
BCD AIO Network Video Recorder Provides Surveillance Versatility
Among the target vertical markets that BCD says that dealers can deploy its AIO Network Video Recorder products include retail, as an all-in-one device that facilitates quick deployments where additional PoE switches are not needed or not available, as well as finance and banking applications.
BCD also notes the eight-port and 24-port Network Video Recorders can be used to address SMB market installations because these systems are VMS agnostic and complementary in small deployment environments.
Other applications for the products include edge enterprise due to their designs that support deployments where users may need multiple edge Network Video Recorders and PoE, but still maintain a large data center or large storage solutions for an entire enterprise VMS.
BCD emphasizes that regardless of the installation environment, the products are built for both large and small applications, including small POE-enabled access control.
The flexibility within each unit, the Ill.-based company adds, allows system administrators to run the access control server software on the unit as the host, including the database, while powering POE-enabled door controllers or readers.
Moreover, BCD boasts, the solutions can all be tied into fabric networks or enterprise networks, and they can be used as an edge NVR/recorder in situations that range from full management and recording, to alarm processing through the AIO.
