CardLogix Launches Adaptive Mobile Identity Solution

FastCheck is a multi-use software solution for mobile ID authentication, identity verification, remote user enrollment and the instant display of critical user information.

IRVINE, Calif. — CardLogix, a smart card manufacturer and software developer, reveals FastCheck, its new mobile identity solution for NFC-enabled Android and Windows devices and ISO 14443 contactless smart cards.

FastCheck is an adaptive, multi-use software solution for mobile ID authentication, identity verification, remote user enrollment and the instant display of critical information. The software is designed for in-the-action identity management and healthcare applications, such as the quick review and validation of concealed weapons permits, driver’s licenses, national IDs, military IDs and portable emergency medical records, according to the company.

Users can install FastCheck from the Google Play store free of charge. The Google Play Demo Version works with NFC-enabled Android devices operating on OS versions KitKat 4.4 and above.

The app demonstrates baseline features and capabilities, and users must request complimentary FastCheck demo cards to illustrate read/write functions. CardLogix will personalize the app for demos or provide a fully custom mobile identity solution. This includes the optional use of biometrics.

In addition to the visual inspection of security graphics, FastCheck uses digital authentication technology to validate the authenticity of the smart card chip. The photo ID, signature and optional biometrics and passwords verify cardholder identity.

CardLogix  says biometrics with live fingerprint matching on a rugged biometric tablet will be available soon.

FastCheck can extract digital cardholder information from a smart card chip upon successful digital key authentication. The information is instantly displayed on the device’s screen, making this capability well-suited for in-the-field applications that must examine critical information quickly.

For example, CardLogix says officers can instantly read and validate digital information from concealed weapons permit cards or driver’s licenses from any location, or an emergency medical technician can quickly access and respond to critical emergency medical information from any location. The Secure Element (SE) chip can be implanted in any form factor, including patient wearables.

FastCheck includes a user-friendly registration section to capture and enroll biographical and biometric information in the field. Newly captured data can be written directly to the contactless smart card chip or transferred to its integrated Cloud-hosted database, Troposphere.

Information from Troposphere can then be imported from a separate location using CardLogix’ smart card issuance software solution, Card Encoding Engine (CEE).
