Johnson Controls Adds Cloud Deployment to C•CURE 9000

The latest version of C•CURE 9000 can be deployed under an Infrastructure-as-a-Service model and contains new capabilities to improve system administration.

MILWAUKEE — Johnson Controls introduces the latest version of its C•CURE 9000 security and event management platform from Software House.

C•CURE 9000 v2.70 SP1 can be deployed under an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) model, reducing or eliminating the need for onsite server hardware, according to the company.

“As demand for Cloud deployments continues to grow, Johnson Controls offers a solution that enables customers to take advantage of the flexibility and resilience provided by this technology”, says Rick Focke, director of Enterprise Access Control. “C•CURE 9000 v2.70 SP1 provides a Cloud-deployable solution that can be used by enterprise companies to support the security and safety of people, buildings and assets globally while at the same time lowering system management costs.”

C•CURE 9000 SP1 also sees the addition of Area Supervisor, which ensures that one or more personnel designated as supervisors must accompany personnel designated as supervised into an area at all times. For example, Area Supervisor is used in retail banking when a supervisor must be in the area at all times during cash counting procedures.

Last September, C•CURE 9000 gained support for smart card encoding, enabling multiple applications, such as access control, vending and parking to be combined into a single contactless smart card for increased credential security and flexibility.
