DICE Corp. Releases CloudEye Platform to Replace Onsite Recorders

DICE says its CloudEye video technology can eliminate costly DVRs and infrastructure maintenance by storing images and video recordings in the Cloud.

BAY CITY, Mich. — DICE Corp. introduces CloudEye — its new Cloud video recording technology made exclusively for the security industry.

The video surveillance and recording platform is said to require minimal set-up, eliminate the need to purchase and maintain equipment and give users the ability to manage footage remotely.

CloudEye maintains UL-listed and redundant recording technology in DICE’s Cloud centers. Users can choose how much footage to record and the length of time it’s stored for more options.

CloudEye is completely browser-based, so the user never has to be on site to access live and recorded footage or change settings. Setting up new cameras, choosing video quality, adjusting the length of recording time and sending links to access recordings can all be done remotely.

Camera status can be monitored via the CloudEye dashboard to prevent outages going unnoticed and lapses in recordings. It displays camera status and location in graphs and allows users to choose between receiving email or SMS notifications through the dashboard as well.

CloudEye is also able to integrate with other DICE Matrix products, including Monitoring, SMS Communications Gateway and Commercial Portal, giving users more value and capability than traditional video surveillance methods, according to the company.

Listen to DICE President & CEO Cliff Dice explain how the CloudEye works and its benefits in the video below.
