Digital Video Platform Features Smart Software, Analytics

GE Security of Bradenton, Fla., releases the VisioWave intelligent video platform (IVP), which is now available in the United States.

IVP, which GE acquired in the purchase of VisioWave in June 2005, is able to handle large, complex applications, such as the control of more than 10,000 cameras from one or multiple points. The system includes video streaming and storage at a variety of data rates.

The IVP product, which is currently in place in the Paris subway system and in the Denver Art Museum, forms a comprehensive surveillance system capable protecting people, property and critical infrastructures. Integration is made possible using smart software with built-in intelligent video analytics.
