DVR Offers 4 Times the Storage Space of Other Storage Devices

The DVR1A DVR, made by Bosch Security of Fairport, N.Y., is designed as a direct replacement for the traditional time-lapse tape recorder, making it easier for end users to store, retrieve and review recorded images. Best of all, because it is digital, there are no videotapes to store or contend with.

The 80GB hard drive that comes with the DVR1A offers up to four times the capacity of a traditional VHS videotape, also eliminating the need to clean and replace the magnetic read/write tape heads found in a typical mechanical time-lapse tape recorder.  According to Bosch, it will store video for up to a week or longer when using continuous or time-lapse recording modes.
