GVI SecuritySolutions of Carrollton, Texas, a market vendor of Samsungproducts, announces its entry-level four-channel DVR equipped withMPEG-4 compression.The GV-DVR1042 is capable of recording 120ips in CIF mode to recordfull-motion video. The unit comes standard with a built-in SamsungCD-RW and front located USB slot for expanded external storage. It canalso be used with a memory thumb drive for video clip downloads,according to the company.

The product operates in triplex mode(monitoring/playback/recording) and captures clear pictures witheffective video storage by using resolutions up to 704 X 480 and 352 X240 NTSC. The product can independently record at variable rates toreduce hard drive storage.Other features include support for up to two internal hard drives,pant/tilt/zoom (p/t/z) control, an Ethernet 10/100 T and DDNS supportwith multiple options.
