Electronic Door Solution Enables Device Encryption Sharing
ASSA ABLOY of New Haven, Conn., introduces Hi-O™ (Highly Intelligent Operation) technology, a new concept for electronic door solutions that simplifies installation, service and upgrade off a building’s security and life-safety system.
The product enables connected devices to exchange and share encrypted information. Each device is connected through a four-wire cable, two wires for power and two for data communication. Maintenance is supported by built-in diagnostics in the devices. A faulty device will alert the network during a malfunction, according to the company.
