CBL Systems of Milford, Mass., announces the release of the Quasar Smart Switch System, Model IQ1000. CBL says the IQ1000 is designed to provide a low-cost, redundant, self-managing optical Gigabit switch for Ethernet applications.
The IQ1000 features a self-managed platform that offers reliable performance and sub-second recovery for mission-critical applications. The product eliminates the need to configure the system at the node locations or at the data center by automatically configuring on the fly using a self-healing, patent-pending network-based technology.
