Global Monitoring Remote Monitor Units

Global Monitoring of Springfield, Pa., unveils the Messenger Series 8100 remote monitor units (RMU), designed to track and react to conditions at remote, unattended or inaccessible locations.

Offering dial-up communications, the units are landline based, using common telephone lines for applications where Wi-Fi, ZigBee or other communications networks are not readily available, according to the company. The monitors track conditions such as temperature, humidity, voltage, air quality, sound level, occupancy, vibration, level and flow to perform various remote control tasks.
