Network Cameras Provide PoE, and 26x Optical and 12x Digital Zoom
Canon of Lake Success, N.Y., has released two new expanded network cameras that provide enhanced audio features, built-in Web servers and zoom lenses. The VB-C50FSi fixed network camera and VB-C50i/VB-C50iR pan/tilt/zoom (p/t/z) network cameras feature an advanced 26x optical zoom lens and a 12x digital zoom. This allows end users to capture fine detail from afar, resulting in 640 X 480 pixel resolution video images with up to 30-frames-per-second (fps) quality.
The VB-C50FSi fixed network camera offers power over Ethernet (PoE), and the line as a whole features two-way audio. Both cameras feature a 1/4-inch, 340,000-pixel CCD imager for high-quality image capture in low-light (1 Lux at 1/30 shutter speed) settings. An integral motorized IR cut filter can be turned off to brighten the viewing area.
