Qognify Introduces Video Monitoring Security Solution Object Origin

Tool detects first appearance of suspicious activity on surveillance footage within seconds.

Qognify, formerly NICE Security, has introduced Object Origin, a video monitoring and analytics tool that analyzes hours of surveillance video footage within seconds to detect the first appearance of suspicious objects or vehicles, the company announced on Tuesday.

The Object Origin will be featured at ASIS 2015.

According to the company, Object Origin can reveal the moment an unattended bag was left behind or a suspicious vehicle was parked with just one click, creating a more efficient way for security personnel to better assess suspicious activity and those individuals involved. Qognify also says the security solution can “prevent prohibitively expensive evacuations, business continuity disruptions and faculty shutdowns” as a result of its ability to distinguish actual threats from false alarms.

Object Origin also works in conjunction with Qognify Suspect Search, using a captured image of the suspect to more accurately describe the person’s current whereabouts.
