Remote Viewing Station Offers Non-PC-Based Alternative

Dedicated Micros of Chantilly, Va., has launched NetVu Console, a remote viewing station that offers a non-PC-based alternative to remote viewing and pan/tilt/zoom (p/t/z) control of cameras over the network.

The product’s traditional p/t/z style keyboard is connected to the network and a local monitor to provide a remote viewing point on the surveillance system. The solution is able to stream video and audio from any NetVu-connected DVR or server through the network for local viewing and control.

Key features include the ability for up to 256 cameras to be controlled and monitored from one remote point; full quad and 16-channel multisite viewing, and network connection via Ethernet.  Additional features include a three-axis joystick that provides p/t/z functionality; configuration via simple Web pages and bi-direction audio.
