Reverse 911 Mass Notification Service
Reverse 911 of Indianapolis is offering its service intended for time-sensitive mass distribution of messages to a targeted group of citizens, employees or students. The service can be used in communities to warn of everything from missing persons to hazardous materials incidents.
The software uses 911 calling data and GIS (geographic information system) mapping technology to target and notify affected individuals. It communicates by means of landlines, cell phones, alpha and digital pagers, fax machines, E-mail and TTY/TDD devices for the hearing impaired.
