The NetLink & StarLink products by NAPCO Security Systems Inc. of Amityville, N.Y., are a new alarm reporting technology designed to meet today’s trend toward cellular and voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) in residential settings where traditional telephone service is not available.
NetLink Net-Comm is a programmable control panel module that reports alarm signals over a TCP/IP-based network.
The StarLink RF wireless backup unit, Model SL 1/12, is designed to report alarm signals to any central station using a dedicated data-only network by Velocita, a subsidiary of Sprint Nextel.
