Specification-Writing Tool Uses Popular NAC Devices

The Upgrade KnightSpec productivity writing tool by Silent Knight of Maple Grove, Minn., a Honeywell company, enables systems engineers and specifiers to generate custom fire alarm specifications that center on the Silent Knight fire alarm control panel line. This includes the IFP-50, IFP-100 and IFP-1000, as well as the integrated voice evacuation versions of all three.

Version 1.01 allows selection of the IDP Series addressable devices made by System Sensor. Updated data sheets are also included for the System Sensor audio-visual and IDP series.  According to the manufacturer, the point-and-click nature of this Silent Knight software saves time and makes it easy to operate. This reduces the time it takes to create a set of specifications. It also saves specifications in Word™ format, which can be inserted into a large set of specifications. Version 1.01 also allows the printing of specifications as needed.
