Tamper-Resistant Camera Housings Increase Reliability
Bosch Security Systems of Fairport, N.Y., introduces its new line of universal camera housings. The tamper-resistant UHI/UHO Series housings are rated IP66 and NEMA4X, featuring protection against water access and extreme temperature changes in rugged environments, according to the company.
The housings accommodate Bosch Dinion and Megapixel cameras as well as those from other manufacturers, including fixed focal, varifocal or up to a 15x motorized zoom lens. Tamper-resistant screws on the locking clasps prevent unwanted entry and improve camera security; the housing glass is self-cleaning and a low power window defroster operates continuously to keep the housing glass free of fog in cold or humid conditions. The UHO (outdoor) models include a sunshield to prevent sun glare.
