Vendor Provides Online Calculator to Compute Voltage Drops

System Sensor
of St. Charles, Ill., a Honeywell company, announces the upgraded
version of its Web-based voltage drop calculator. The calculator helps
architects and engineers design audible/visible notification device
circuits. It permits step-by-step calculation of voltage drops along a
NAC by analyzing each device on the circuit and determining if enough
operating voltage is available at each device location.

The voltage drop calculator can calculate wire resistance, circuitdistance, filtered vs. unfiltered panels, candela settings anddistances between devices. It can be downloaded at the System SensorWeb site and used from a MAC or PC without Internet connection.
