Vicon Launches 4K H.265 Camera Line Featuring Dome, Bullet Models
Vicon’s new V988 line of 4K cameras feature a 3.6-11 mm motorized varifocal lens, IR illuminators, wide dynamic range and more.

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — Vicon Industries, a designer and manufacturer of video surveillance and access control software, hardware and components, announces its new V988 line of 4K cameras.
Available in dome and bullet models, the new cameras feature a 3.6-11 mm motorized varifocal lens and IR illuminators. Both models include true wide dynamic range, quad streaming, video content analysis to identify tampering, intrusion, motion detection and defog, audio and alarm input/output, and IP66/IK10-rated enclosures.
They also feature H.265 compression, which is said to reduce file sizes and conserve network bandwidth, and power over Ethernet to eliminate the need for power cables.
“We expect our new 4K dome and bullet models to be popular additions to our extensive camera line” says Bret McGowan, senior vice president, sales and marketing at Vicon. “Customers expect quality and value from Vicon cameras, and the V988 line will deliver on that promise.”
