Video Isolation Transformer Eliminates Longitudinal Hum
Vigitron Inc. of San Diego introduces the Vi1060, a video isolation transformer for CCTV and A/V applications.
The device is designed to eliminate the longitudinal hum that is caused by earth loop currents. It operates at a virtually flat response from 10Hz to 7MHz. The product can be either inline or mounted and transmits video up to 6,000 feet on Cat 2-7 unshielded twisted-pair wires, according to the company.
