Wireless Solution Offers Home Monitoring, Control Functionality
The Home Security 2.0 solution by Palo Alto, Calif.-based iControl delivers remote monitoring and control functionality to traditional monitored home protection. Utilizing a tri-mode security network (broadband, cellular/GSM and POTS access), users can stay connected to their homes, families and properties when away.
Customers can see live video and pictures of their homes, receive E-mail and text message notifications of events, and control lighting, thermostats and more via Web portals or mobile devices.
The new software complements existing GE Security equipment and will be offered through Monitronics’ dealer network.
