ComNet Introduces Cost-Effective Ethernet Transport System

ComNet, a USA-based manufacturer of transmission and communication networking equipment, is introducing a new modular high port-count managed switch that is designed and manufactured at its Danbury, CT, USA facility. The ComNet CTS24+2 offers up to 24 ports of 10/100Mbps Ethernet and 2 ports of Gigabit uplink using TX or SFP combo ports. The CTS24+2 series allows for ultimate flexibility in combining standard copper, optical, and extended distance Ethernet over copper, all in one rack mounted chassis configuration. The availability of optional POE allows the user to customize a solution to fit the users’ specific needs while using a minimum of rack space.

The ComNet CTS24+2 system includes a chassis with optional 400 or 1000 Watts of POE. Up to three 8 channel modules can be ordered to populate the system. These modules are offered in conventional 10/100Base-Tx ports, optical 100FX SFP Ports, or ComNet CopperLine® distance extending interfaces on either Coax or UTP. Chassis and modules are ordered individually, and assembled at the factory to insure your configuration is tested as a complete unit
