The company states that its new line of AI-powered DVRs offer users advanced motion detection capabilities to analog channels to support the classification of human and vehicle events without the need for manual camera configurations.

CITY of INDUSTRY, Calif. — Hikvision, a global manufacturer of security system solutions, has announced its new Turbo Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) with integrated AcuSense Motion Detection 2.0 technology.

The company states that its new line of AI-powered DVRs offer users advanced motion detection capabilities to analog channels to support the classification of human and vehicle events without the need for manual camera configurations.

“Our new line of AcuSense DVRs provide advanced motion detection features to analog systems, helping to dramatically reduce false alarms commonly caused by animals or trees swaying in the wind,” comments John Xiao, vice president of marketing, Hikvision USA.

“This reduction in false alarms and quick target event search allows security personnel to focus on real events of interest so they can respond with increased efficiency and situational awareness.”

According to the West Coast-based company, the new Turbo Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) are easy to set up and easy to manage. Hikvision points out that users can employ its Hik-Connect app to remotely manage their DVRs with capabilities that include video search and downloading by time, as well as other functions such as password reset, efficient playback options, and one-click muting.

The company emphasizes that its new AcuSense DVR product line offers a selection of products with features such as up to 8 MP recording resolutions, H.265+ video compression to reduce data storage costs for users, 8x multi-speed playback capabilities, and 32-channel camera inputs.

Hikvision adds the products also offer features, including perimeter protection with provisions such as line crossing and intrusion detection, as well Video Content Analytics (VCA), and event support.
