Recurring Revenue Report Reveals Direction of Security Industry

About three-quarters of respondents say their firms’ RMR emanates from intrusion alarm monitoring. That and maintenance/service agreements (MSAs) were substantially ahead of the pack. This contrasts with SSI’s Operations & Opportunities Report (August 2017) and the top areas to generate more RMR: MSAs (43.8%), Cloud (33.6%), managed/hosted access control (31.4%), fire alarm inspections (30.7%) and mobile monitoring (22.6%).
