Visual Tour: How Security Central Provides a Tech-Forward Monitoring Experience

Security Central Executive V.P. Caroline Brown was as knowledgeable as she was friendly. She is eagerly embracing new technologies, services and challenges, as she pushes to get employees and dealer customers to seize today’s vast opportunities.
Security Sales & Integration was a recent guest of Statesville, N.C.-based wholesale monitoring center Security Central, meeting with Executive Vice President Caroline Brown and touring the facility.
She is the third generation of leadership for a local institution that was founded 55 years ago in the same location by her grandparents, Ralph and Christine Brown. Caroline is the only child of second-generation leader and current President Courtney Brown. The family also owns and operates AlarmSouth, an installing company with offices across the street on Security Drive.
Security Central has grown to be one of the largest central stations in the country, providing monitoring and dispatch services to more than 1,500 security companies with around 375,000 accounts.
Operating in all 50 states, alarm handling takes place in the UL-Listed Statesville facility with additional services and redundancy provided by another UL-Listed location some 30 miles west in Hickory, N.C. Security Central features three environment-controlled computer rooms that have redundant backups for everything at those facilities.
On its website, Security Central states its goal to be “offering quality customer service and making sure every customer is an expansion to our growing family.”
That familial feeling was pleasantly palpable while visiting the company’s impressive operations, all set against the utmost in professionalism, capabilities and leading-edge technology.
