Randy Stearns on D-Tools and Market Leadership
When describing D-Tools’ market leadership, Stearns says, “We are maniacally focused on helping our customers run better businesses.” He continues, “I think that’s really important. It keeps us focused on the right things for them.”
Later in the conversation, Stearns talks about specific features in D-Tools System Integrator (SI) that he feels have the greatest impact on improving productivity, operating efficiency and bottom-line results. According to Stearns, “D-Tools has this massive product library — over one-and-a-half million products — with a very deep set of fields for each one, right down to the engineering data of I/Os, number of rack spaces, power requirements and all that.” That information, he says, flows into D-Tools customers’ product catalog, which the company helps them to manage.
Deeper in the conversation, Stearns turns to D-Tools Cloud, which the company has made a splash with over the past several years. He describes the distinction between the two products and disambiguates how integrators can discern which will serve their needs better. Finally, Stearns offers some tantalizing insights into how D-Tools is leveraging AI.
