What else is new or noteworthy about the company for 2018?
We have two new important directives. Napco and its divisions, Alarm Lock, Marks and Continental, have a school security initiative creating integrated technologies for school security for any budget or application. We’ve updated our SAVI self-assessment tool for quantifying school levels and intend to develop a new training program to address the growing need as well.
For the Napco Security division, we have also expanded our Connected Home Dealer Program to include Connected Smart Business technologies, so our dealers are equipped to expand into more lucrative, high-retention accounts in a less price-competitive landscape.
What is your company’s overall value proposition to installing security dealers/integrators? Why should they do business with you?

What do you see as some of the top opportunities in the marketplace right now?
Security has never held a more important and publicized role than today. It is in the spotlight, perpetuated not only by 24/7 news cycles of acts of terror and violence, but also in mass consumer advertising by new, large players, such as Google and Apple, with the rise of IoT and new technological and app-friendly convenience.
Security Pros who are the experts in the field can make the most of this opportunity, demonstrating their application knowledge and value proposition to both residential and commercial accounts in their local area. When it comes to security and feeling vulnerable, most people still prefer a local, community-based security provider with a strong, long-lived reputation.
