ORLANDO — Former Secretary of State Colin Powell’s message to attendees at the ASIS Expo Sept. 13 wasn’t so much a warning about terror, but a warning of how important it is to stay true to America’s values while fighting terror.
“We need to make sure America is an open place. That’s what makes America great,” Powell said, adding that even while the exhibit hall highlighted the latest in technology, the human element is the key to security. “It’s not enough to have technology. You have to be able to use it.”
