AMMON, Idaho: The East Idaho city has put into place a fee structure for repeat offenders of false alarms.
DELAWARE: After an effort to become the first state government to levy fines for false alarms failed last June, Delaware state officials say they are going to try to pass a statewide ordinance again this month.

SALEM, Ore.: A city task force has recommended that Salem officers be dispatched only to alarms where a crime has been verified. The Salem City Council will decide this month whether to enact the recommendations into law.
WINNIPEG, Canada: Police in the Canadian city have announced that they will soon no longer respond to burglar alarms that have not been verified by an alarm provider. The verified response policy takes effect in March.
