Port Columbus Intl. Airport Chooses Delta Barriers

Published: August 31, 2000

As part of a $92 million enhancement at the Port Columbus Intl. Airport in Ohio, Delta Scientific Corp.‘s motorized traffic controllers have been installed by Signature Control Systems LLC on the first two levels of the new multilevel parking garage. These levels accommodate 1,200 rental vehicles, rental transaction counts, and vehicle wash and fuel centers for major car rental companies.

The Delta MTC31 motorized traffic controller was utilized to protect against unauthorized vehicle traffic into or out of protected areas. It incorporates Saber Tooth control teeth that are rotated into position by an electromechanical system in less than 1.5 seconds.
