Company News From Pelco, Bosch, Systems Depot, TOA Electronics
Pelco On the Move With Mobile Product Demonstrations
The 2005 ISC West show marks the second anniversary for CCTV manufacturer Pelco’s Mobile Product Showcase (MPS). Introduced at the 2003 event, the MPS is a demonstration room on wheels — driving to trade events, dealers, distributors, end users and other Pelco customers.
The MPS provides hands-on presentations of products and is staffed by experts in video security. Logging more than 200,000 miles across the U.S. and Canada, the original MPS truck was joined by two additional trucks in 2004. Pelco says the North American fleet of three trucks will soon have a cousin across the Atlantic, as the company plans to introduce an MPS in Europe.
Bosch Opens West Coast Training Center
West Coast customers and dealers of Bosch Security Systems products can now enjoy the kind of hands-on training enjoyed by those on the East Coast. Bosch opened its third training center in San Jose, Calif., on March 15.
Similar to Bosch training centers in Fairport, N.Y., and Lancaster, Pa., the facility offers in-depth training courses and information on Bosch’s CCTV, intrusion, fire, access and systems products. The center also includes an area where products will be demonstrated.
Systems Depot Debuts Miami-Area Office in Florida
Security distributor The Systems Depot has opened a new branch location in Miami Lakes, Fla., and introduced a quicker way to deliver products to its customers.
With a grand opening complete with a barbeque buffet and product demonstrations, Systems Depot opened its Miami-area location on Feb. 17.

TOA plans to add to its VS-900 line of intercoms this year with a series of product launches through the remainder of the year. To aid the new division, TOA has hired former ELMO Mfg. Corp. and ADT general manager Allan Lamberti as its national sales manager for security products.
