Backstreet Surveillance Recruiting Techs for Nationwide Installer Program

The online DIY retailer claims the average technician enrolled in the new installation program can expect to earn $45-$60 per hour.

SALT LAKE CITY — Backstreet Surveillance, an online retailer of DIY video surveillance products, is recruiting professional installers for a new nationwide program to provide local, high-quality installation services for security camera systems.

The new installation services program is being led by Scott McQuarrie, CEO of the company. He is a 28-year veteran of the professional security industry with years of experience designing, managing and installing large commercial, retail and residential video security systems, according to a press release.

There are tens of thousands of skilled security and IT techs, electricians, subcontractors and A/V professionals that possess the skills required to install surveillance systems, but lack the know-how to develop a local presence in the market, McQuarrie states. The Backstreet Surveillance program provides an onramp into the CCTV installation industry for similarly skilled professionals who otherwise would not have the knowledge and support to enter and compete in the industry.

“Our program provides a fast track path to be successful in the industry. In this day and age of viruses and uncertainty, our program can be critically important for industry similar contractors to stabilize and add to their income by providing installation services in our very lucrative industry,” he says. “The average technician enrolled in our program can expect to earn $45-$60 per hour.”

For the installer, the program is said to offer protected territories, ready to go installations, weekly pay, factory support, training, marketing, dealer discounts and expert project management support.

Backstreet Surveillance says that it quotes a fixed installation price nationwide. Any home or business in any state pays the same price for a turnkey installation. For example, a four-camera system installation price is quoted nationwide for homes and businesses. No matter the building type, structure, or the camera locations, the price remains the same, according to the press release.

The new program has been in development since November 2019, and the company claims to have successfully completed hundreds of installations nationwide since its inception.

Backstreet Surveillance is a national provider of video surveillance systems which are marketed direct to the end user online. Sales are an even mixture of residential and commercial DIY solutions, the company says. The company provides free custom design services and offers how-to knowledge on their website.
